We have placed an order of Four 7999 dwt Oil/Chemical tankers at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard, Dingheng. The vessels will be equipped with highly efficient propulsion and will feature the latest technology to comply with future regulations.
These new vessels are a new update from the success from Saturnus and Mercurius, with lower fuel consumption and low emission technologies. With Hybrid Battery of 420 kWh, for peak shaving, both for Main engine and Aux engines. A Shore Power system of 1000 kW will be installed which enables the vessels to perform Zero emission loading and discharging in port.
With Evolution 8K we’re taking another step forward in renewing Sirius fleet – For our colleagues, customers and the environment. These new vessels, designed by Sirius in collaboration with FKAB, will provide the highest levels of sustainability, efficiency and safety. The vessels are also designed for excellent working conditions and comfortable living quarters for our Crew – since this is The Sirius Way!
